Susan Abulhawa (1970) is an American-Palestinian novelist, biologist, poet and essayist. Her debut novel, Mornings in Jenin, was an international bestseller, translated into 28 languages. Likewise, her second novel, The Blue Between Sky and Water, has been translated into 26 languages. She is also the author of the poetry collection My Voice Sought the Wind.

Susan is a frequent political commentator and the founder of Playgrounds for Palestine, a children’s organization dedicated to upholding the Right to Play for Palestinian children living under Israeli military occupation in Palestine and in refugee camps elsewhere.

The author currently lives in Pennsylvania, USA, with her daughter.
